Timo Bracht and Frank Vytrisal are favorites to win and will wear special compression suits.
At the most difficult and most famous Ironman triathlon in Hawaii on the 11th of October 2008, the German favorites to be ranked in the top-ten Timo Bracht and Frank Vytrisal will rely on a special running suit manufactured by CEP. The manufactured leg sections apply a defined pressure to the musculature, considerably increasing the arterial blood circulation. As a consequence the musculature is supplied with more oxygen and thus more energy, especially while cycling and running. Optically the suit does not differ much from other suits since the basic material is made of lycra, which is the typical material used. The unique feature is the entire leg section of the suit which is made of a special compressive knitting. An elastic thread winds itself around the thigh about two hundred times. This part of the suit is up to three times as flexible as other parts and adjusts to the shape of the leg perfectly without sliding. An increased elasticity improves the range and freedom of movement.
"Amongst other things, muscle aches are decreased considerably during the run, especially while running downhill," comments Timo Bracht, winner at the Ironman in Frankfurt 2007 and a favorite to rank in the top ten in Hawaii. He and his fellow combatant Frank Vytrisal, who qualified for Hawaii at the Ironman in Switzerland, will wear the suit from the beginning. Also while swimming. With the CEP running O2 sportsocks Bracht obtained the best marathon timing by far at the Ironman 2008 in Frankfurt and finished in third place after an impressive catch up. Already many triathletes trust the compressive sports socks manufactured by CEP. All ambitious athletes will now be able to look forward to the development for the thighs expected to arrive sometime in 2009.
CEP compression sportswear is just as ideal for high-performance sports as it is for sports carried out in one's freetime. Compression stands for an additional amount of oxygen made available for the musculature. In this manner CEP running O2 sport socks increase not only blood circulation but also performance and speed up the regenerative process. A special enforcement protects the Achilles tendon and pads in the area of the soles, the shin and the ankle cushion and prevent irritations caused by pressure spots. "Ventilation channels" ensure a pleasant foot climate. Thanks to a 3D manufacturing process the socks perfectly adjust to the anatomy of the foot. These advantages provide benefits to hundreds of other Ironmen and Ironwomen on the second weekend in October at the starting line of the Ironman in Kona on Hawaii.
